Exploded Mercedes

I guess today is the day with a disassembled automotive theme. Following the time lapse of an engine being rebuilt is this photograph of a disintegrating vehicle. It was created by the photographer Fabian Oefer, who has a lot of other nice work at his website.

The picture was created for an ad campaign and it is not done via CGI. Rather, arranging the model parts he photographed each separately and then combined the images via Photoshop.It took him 3 days to photograph the parts and then create the composite image.
